How can I create 2 different blocks of Bracing in one file?

Posted on: 24 Jun, 2013

Hi Jonny I need to be able to divide the building into two “blocks” as the storey in question forms the lower part of one “block” and the upper part of the other “block” Is there any way to do this without messing up the Brace Table for “Block 2” (2nd set)? I have corrected the issue with line “Q” being missing, but the brace table is still advising that the line requirements haven’t been achieved – which is being caused by them all being part of of one block instead of 2. Thanks again.

Can't change the brace type of my braces?

Posted on: 24 Jun, 2013

Hi guys, I have just purchased the bracing add on. everything seems to be working fine. I have managed to set up all of the bracing lines, the bracing table is in place, but the minimum bracing values have not been met for a couple of the lines so i am trying to attempt to change the bracing type from a GS1-a to a BL1-H and i cannot figure out how to change the type. I have all Gib bracing types available to me but when i try to change the bracing type, it defaults back to being a GS1-a. My selections are limited within the 'Gib' bracing family. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Cheers
